HANG OUT WITH US!

For over a decade, G3 Happy Hours were held at a different location each month but after covid it became a challenge to find venues big enough for the size of our crowds. Thankfully Playground stepped up and gave us a home. This partnership has allowed us to broaden G3's appeal to more diverse audience and has given us the flexibility to create themed events which have proven to be very popular.

Still, many have told us they miss going to new places like we used to. So . . . .

This month our regular "third Friday" G3 Happy Hour will take place

at The Downtown Tucson AC Marriott Hotel!

This upscale venue provides a nice setting for our "G3 Human of the Year" award, given to an individual we feel deserves to be acknowledged for outstanding contributions to the LGBT+ Community of Southern Arizona plus --- for the very first time --- we're having karaoke!

We are pleased to honor Sheryl Phipps for her decades of support and leadership promoting inclusive arts and sport in the LGBT+ community. Going back to her college days, Sheryl has been a devoted enthusiast of softball and upon returning to Southern Arizona to care for her father a couple years ago has started a gay and lesbian softball league in Tucson called "The Inferno Pride League."

Now in it's third season, the league has grown to six teams and has represented Tucson in tournaments from Memphis to Las Vegas and as far away as Dublin Ireland! Combined with her more than 30 years of involvement with San Francisco gay softball, Sheryl has so impressed the queer softball world that the 2026 ASANA Softball World Series has been awarded to Tucson with 1,000 expected to attend!
